Is this a full backup of my phone?
This version backs up the files and folders you select. It does not copy the operating system, installed applications or data inside other apps. Export that data from its original app first.
What happens if I forget my password?
There is no password reset or recovery key held by the studio. Without the original password, the encrypted backup cannot be opened. Keep the password in your password manager or another safe place.
Can I use it without internet?
After the first successful load and offline setup, the app can create and restore copies without a network connection. Keep the saved backup outside browser storage. Your browser may remove its offline app cache.
What are the limits?
Up to 2 GiB and 2,048 files in one copy with direct file saving. Browsers without direct saving use a 96 MiB memory limit. Empty files are preserved; empty folders, permissions and symbolic links are not included.
Is it free?
This first web version is free and requires no registration. There is no cloud storage subscription or automatic upload.
How are my files protected?
AES-256-GCM encrypts the contents and file list. A key is derived from your password with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA-256 and 600,000 iterations, using a fresh salt for each copy. This release has automated tests; it has not undergone an independent security audit.
Privacy
BACKUP369 processes selected files locally. File contents, filenames and passwords are not sent by this app. Only your language and appearance preferences are stored locally. Hosting receives ordinary page requests. The offline cache contains the app interface, never your backups or password. Saved backups are managed by your browser and device.
